Traveling is a vast thing to talk about and we always have so much to explore about it. Traveling is like a blank canvas with some paint brushes and colors offered to you so that you can paint your own story. Traveling is like a pack of Lego house pieces that you can join according to your wishes. Traveling is a completely different independent genre where you are free to do anything that you want with just a little careful attitude along with the carefree fun. Traveling helps people in discovering new things, inspires them to learn on their own and gives them a practical perspective of life. Travel helps with the study of life. It helps with the family vacationing and it also helps with healing ourselves. So when traveling is like a mother in all the aspects of life, why not travel often? Fly over the seas, fly overseas!
Get yourself to places where you have never been to and face the winds that will blow against you skin. So this time, I Aara, a wanderlusting writer from India have decided to tell you about how traveling can help you come out of your depression. Being a psychologist myself, I have self-tested this topic and I found the results very effective. Traveling does help in healing depression. So if you are a travel enthusiast but currently facing issues in your life then do not hesitate to book some flight tickets to any country or city and start traveling. Feel the things from deep inside. You will gradually notice the changes in you.
- Take self-decisions: Depression leaves us in such a state, where you wouldn’t be able to trust yourself anymore. You are in state of trauma where all you might want to do is depend on others for everything. So change it. Take the first step. Decide yourself. Decide what you want to do, where you want to go, when, how and how to pack your bag. Decide what things you want to carry with you and all. Push yourself out of the laziness that you have invited over.
- Boost up yourself: Find reasons to travel to a place. Start thinking about traveling to some new place by taking walks around your house or in the garden or streets. The number of steps that you take might increase your patience to think a little more and you might come up with some strong plan to move out of your place for a whole. Lift your spirits up and don’t try thinking about someone else doing it for you. Be the self-help kind of a person.
- Book tickets: Once you come up with a plan and if you are 90% sure of it then do not back away. Just sit down, search for the best deals on flights and services and start booking tickets so that the 10% hesitation that you had in your mind doesn’t affect you. Confirm things before you start thinking about it. Take a strong and a stubborn step to avoid regrets later.
- Start packing: Once you are done with the booking of tickets then start packing immediately. Look at yourself in the mirror. Make sure that you are fine. Don’t look like a crybaby going on a vacation. Go to a good spa or at least groom yourself well so that people look at you with admiration while you are on your journey. Looks matter and a make-over always makes us feel better. Don’t you think so?
- Make plans: Start looking for a map and for the places which might attract you. Start noting down the places that you want to see. Make plans!
- Capture the moments: Carry your camera and grab the chance to capture whatever catches your eye. This is a very effective way to deal with your mental lowness and it also helps you concentrate on the scenery before you. Make memories! That is how you live a life. Don’t ruin it with a feeling that you are worthless.
- Find reasons to laugh: A trip like this is not meant to go to a new place, kick your shoes off and get onto the bed to cry yourself to sleep for hours. It is meant to tire yourself and that is the best thing about such trips. Go find people, go talk to them, be happy, be naughty and most importantly, be you. But that doesn’t mean you will gulp down the whole barrel of beer and then roll like one on the road.
So this is like a little motivation that I tried to give, to all you lovely people so that you don’t lose your precious smiles forever. Do not forget to like, comment and share this article if you happened to feel that it is a good one and if you feel that you might find it useful. Adios!
